Hey Cindy, I'll recap anything you like. Well, make that anything we BOTH like.
I forgot to say, the handsome B+S son, the ex-vet, asked his half-sister/not-his-half-sister Rebecca to marry him and she said yes. Nora went all freak-waddin with excitement. This was during the ending Mexican beer and cookout beach scene.
All of our other shows are ending. Grey's is a two-hour marathon this week. Total spoiler: I read that Izzy lives, George dies. The previews show Christina getting back with my hot Scottish hunk, so that's all I care about.
Tonight is the finale of my fav show, The Biggest Loser. I love to lie on the couch and eat while I watch those dudes work out.
And in other news: This Friday marks the end of the show that brought us all together lo those many years ago. *sniff* RIP PB.

Okay, peanut, I'm waiting for you to see the Lost finale so we can discuss. All I can say is, my source for who will die was correct. And I'm positive Richard is not Jacob, and he DOES change his clothes! Since you posted that, something I had never noticed, I watched during the recap show. Back in the 1950s, he is wearing a brown henley-type shirt with a brown vest. Then in the 70s he is wearing a navy-blue shirt. In the present-day when he is with Locke, he is wearing a different blue shirt with epaulets. Plus, I know he isn't Jacob because who J is gets answered. My only comment to that is to TPTB: You waited this long to reveal THAT? Peanut, I want to hear your reaction to what is is that box the new crash people are carrying around -- it will freak you -- and just who ARE these newest crash people?
Meanwhile, I've been seeing Matthew Fox on late-night chat shows. I hate his Jack character, but in real life, he is funny and cute and seems so nice, plus he giggles a lot, which makes him cuter. He did a funny filmed sketch with Jimmy Kimmel that should be on YouTube by now. It comes close to rivaling Kimmel's "I'm F-ing Ben Affleck" movie-ette. It involves them competing over who the Starbuck's cup marked "Gorgeous Man" belongs to.
Tonight is Grey's finale, plus the end of Hell's Kitchen.

I know! I'm excited because I was thinking last week was the finale..I only know it's not because you said something in here...I'll have to flip back and forth to HK I got into that last week for the first time this season..that "Danny" guy seems like he's pretty "street," so he looks like a cool underdog..lol
I love Matt Fox. His absolute best role was "Charlie" in "Party of Five." Great show, very underrated in it's time IMO. His role was so diverse. Brother, father, friend and he was SO young when he started on that show.

Cindy, I did not know Matthew Fox before Lost, so did not know he was on Party of Five. Of course, I never saw that show, can't get that station, but I heard it was very excellent.
I watched the entire two-hour Grey's finale, and kept thinking, "I don't even LIKE this show." Heh. I have to say, I KNEW that was George at the end. But the thing with Izzy surprised me. That was pretty much a classic cliffhanger, I must say. I guess that leaves everything open for actors to repent/resign/go elsewhere over the break. Otherwise, I guess I missed why Little Grey is so over McSteamy, and I thought Callie was a bitch to tell Arizona off because A supports our service men. But I would have thought George was under some contract with the hospital and couldn't just walk out and join the army. But, what do I know. I did like that Mer/Der is a stable relationship now, as promised by the gossip rags. Finally. But surely doctors have ONE day off per week/month so they could actually GET married? Otherwise, the show didn't bother me as much as it usually does. Heh.
I flipped during commercials to watch Hell's Kitchen, so saw Danny win. I have to say, I didn't care which chef won, I like the woman (I've already forgotten her name!) too, and she was very gracious at the end. Danny was on Regis this morning, and it was reveled he is married, so that domineering chick girlfriend is now his wife. It was nice to see Danny win, though, since he was constantly No. 2 in all the challenges except one. Well, and at the end. Heh.
Speaking of challenges, Survivor watchers, is Coach really insane? He reminds me of the "Jimmy" episode on Seinfeld, talking about himself in third-person. And isn't there any food or water on Exile Island REALLY? And is he a total Drama Queen or is he for real? I haven't been watching, just started the last few eps learning who people are. I must say, though, I'd rather have Coach on my screen than those two bitch women, Taj and ??, rolling their eyes and being all superior. The cattle rancher, LT or LJ (!) or whatever seems to be the only good guy on that show.

So J.T won Survivor..yay! A decent guy and good at the challenges... Any guesses on the DH wedding? I say Mike and Susan after the incident with the cars brought them both to their senses... More months of no good t.v. Blah How goes the AR try outs Ginger? I bet they were crazy... And YES I do the exact same thing with biggest loser and the couch...I swear it's not intentional but I end up scarfing down a chocolate bar or a bag of chips as I watch these poor souls killing themselves to lose weight. Does anyone believe they workout like that when they get home? Sure, in between making dinner, crying kids, working and cleaning the house..excuse me while I work out for 3 hrs...

Yeah, it was hardly a surprise that JT won Survivor. From the little bit I watched, he seemed like a decent guy, plus was nearly invincible in the challenges. His buddy (Steve? Forgot his name.) got a little "game-player" toward the end. He was so riding JT's coattails, although I guess there's not much wrong with that. I have to say, I did not like ANY of the women. Erin wouldn't shut the freak up, and Taj was all about mugging and making faces at people, looking superior. I saw JT on a chat show later, and he was very nice and all "Yes ma'am" like a good southern gentleman. Crazy he won by unanimous vote, THEN won the $100,000 audience vote money, too. That almost seemed unfair, like someone else should get something. Although I believe I read that Nos. 2 and 3 get $ as well.
I couldnt' believe Shawn Johnson won Dancing With The Stars. Well, I guess I can since she's America's sweetheart so everyone supported her over a reality star that practically no one had heard of and a French actor practically no one had heard of. But I thought she was the worst of the three, and should have been voted out even before the country singer guy. She's WAY too short to have good dance lines, plus, forgive me I am going to hell, but she's CHUBBY. And short and chub do not make a good ballroom dancer. Sorry, but just like a 6-ft. 200-lb. man cannot be a jockey, a short, fat girl does not make up ballroom. But whatever.
I do have to add I was startled in a convenience store while traveling a while back, by a life-sized cardboard Shawn Johnson set up in an aisle. I turned the corner and came face-to-face with her and about dropped my coffee mug. Very unsettling. The display was to get people to VOTE FOR SHAWN! Heh. Guess it worked.
Anyway, I have to say, Gilles Marini is one HOT SEXY guy. I dropped my jaw and I believe my heart stopped a few seconds when he was dancing the Argentine tango. Yowza, guys. It really made me wish I had some Latin guys in my life instead of those cold-blooded fish from Swedish and German stock. (They can't dance, either. Heh.)
What do you mean, no good TV, Cindy ... So You Think You Can Dance starts tonight! Woo hoo! Now there's some REAL dancers, and without the stupid judges from DWTS. (I always flip channels when Bruno et.al. start talking. I only watch the pro guys on DWTS too. Yeah, I'm shallow. And I LOVE Maks and Tony!)
I haven't heard any DH scoop, and pretty much missed last week. But with Mike giving Susan the moon-eyes two weeks ago when S was suppose to get married, your guess seems correct. But then again, that would be too obvious maybe?
Oh, I have to add, Gilles Marini is the sweetest, most unassuming guy EVER in interviews, and likes to talk about his wife and kids when interviewers suggest he is so hot, he must have plenty of women in his life. He's really darling when he talks. And, get THIS, Cindy, he is going to be on Brothers & Sisters next season. Guess who will be tuning in for THAT?

See, I'm not really in to dancing shows Ginger. They need to just call them "injury central." What was it? Four injuries on DWTS this yr? And honestly, I just don't find it entertaining to watch others dance. <I> like to dance <shows ginger the disco ball> but I'd be surprised if people found watching me entertaining. LOL
I miss the series shows like Dallas, Knots Landing ect...but now it's all replaced by dancing/singing because it's cheaper to produce. My Mom is totally addicted to the bachelor and I just can't figure out why. Twenty girls ready to duke it out over a guy while pawing him on national tv..only to find out he's pretty much a cad...LOL SURPRISE!
Oh so hot guy is coming to B and S I hope he's straight..B and S is on gay overload right now.
I want my guilty pleasure Lipstick Jungle back but NOOOO NBC killed it. Booooo..

Well, I have to say SYTYCD was spectacular last night, and two of the dancers made me cry. And if the Mohawked choreographer isn't a lesbian, I'll eat my hat. If I had a hat.
I watched the end of the Bachelor last season, so got right in on the Jason/Melissa/Molly three-way. Jason was such a tool, I enjoyed watching him so I could snark out loud at my tv. Now I've started The Bachelorette from the beginning (first ep was last week) since the "star" was SUPPOSE to be Molly, except Jason swapped partners after the ending, so they grabbed third-place Jillian to be bachelorette. She was "looking for her best friend," so tool Jason dumped her. The show now travels to exotic places for the dates; last season they were in New Zealand. So it's sort of like Amazing Race, without the race and with a hot tub. I do object to the hot tub scenes, though. They are even more gratuitous than the bare-assed skivvy running in Amazing Race.
You might want to try Mental, the new show with Chris Vance, aka PB's Whistler. He was a little hottie on PB, and I was sorry to see hotness killed on that show. Pilot ep, the guest star is none other than our beloved Haywire.

A show named Mental? When is it on? I'm assuming you don't mean the Mentalist with Simon Baker..(hot boy..lol) When Peanut gets back, tell her to come over here and discuss lost with you. Yes Jillian Canadian chick here's a little disclaimer for you "Jillian's attitudes in no way reflect the attitudes of all Canadians--no doubt she will do something skeevy to embarrass us all, so I'm saying it now--it's not our fault! :-)"
You know, when I was at the Yanni concert, there was one number where two scantily clad girls were slipping and sliding all over his piano in lingerie. After I commented that I was 100% sure that he was sleeping with the brunette (you couldn't miss it) I commented that it was this type of $%%%$ behavior that set women back a hundred yrs...I'm not kidding ..it was equivilant to girl on girl porn-- on a piano. I'm no prude, but I was completely disgusted. Well, didn't my Mom record it (as a joke saying she would put it on utube...anyway, she re-watched and was like "Wow, that was gross."
It's amazing what passes for entertainment these days (Now I sound about 90) but man, enough already.

Cindy, Mental premieres Tuesday at 9 p.m. eastern, 8 central on Fox. Those guys must be under some Fox contract. Anyway, I think Chris Vance is pretty cute, and Haywire is comedic genius.
I liked The Mentalist with Simon Baker for a few episodes, then saw him on way too many chat shows where he wasn't the most clever when asked about being one of the year's hottest new men. He comes across as smarmy to me, which then ruined the show and the cutesy character he plays. And Robin Tunney, what's up with those super low-rise pants she always wears? HATE them.
Now, now, Jillian is from Vancouver, yes, but she seems pretty okay so far, except I think they command you go skank when you sign on for that show. The so LAST thing I would want to do on national television is put on a thong bikini and get in a hot tub (just the hot tubs squee me out ... the germs! Growing and spreading like wildfire in the heat!) with some guy, then start making out. Tres gross. Heck, I wouldn't do that if I WEREN'T on national tv! Unless it was in the guy's private Telluride mountain retreat ... and I knew it had fresh water in it. Heh!
Man, that's disgusting about the Yanni piano girls. I swear, women's lib might be some old and antiquated term, but we could use a good hardy dose of it about now. Yeah, I know ... good luck on that. It's a man's world, always was, always will be. You either play along (and do girl porn on a piano in public) or get left behind.

Oh, fyi: Entertainment Weekly gave the premiere of "Mental" a C grade, really low in their book. That's pretty much a "don't bother." So, watch at your own risk. Sorry for the tease, Cindy, that it would be a good show.
Me, I'm going to be all up into the sleaze reality and watch The Bachelorette every week, plus every ep of SYTYCD. That plus DVDs will be my summer viewing.
Peanut, where are you with your thoughts on the Lost finale? Jacob ... really?

Yes, I saw a bit of "Mental" and was like "Oh dear.." LOL
Have we lost you in a SYTYCD eppy? You're being awfully quiet...I'm surprised catperson isn't jumping in to talk of the latest dancers (although now that I think of it I was LOL at one dancer I saw, not sure if it was from this year or not but she was a really chunky girl in a leotard and she could bearly walk, never mind dance.) Anyway, you have to give her credit, she was in her own world as she "danced" away..They had already said, "ok, ok" and she just kept going til the end...
Others are really good though..I wasn't that flexible when I was two..lol
Don't feel guilty about the bachorlette, while you're watching that guilty pleasure I'm over on TLC watching Jon and Kate Plus 8..lol
Can't believe some of the stuff I'm hearing about these 2 now, what a mess but I'll say this, they aren't "poor" Jon and Kate anymore..$75,000 an eppy? No wonder they don't care if their marriage falls a part in front of the public...
Feel bad for the cute (if badly behaved) kids, but MAN these two are a trainwreck..and I watch it, so it doesn't bode well for me either:-)
I enjoyed watching the Hayes family for the weeks they did Table for 12 ..they can laugh about it all and are clearly madly in love. Of course, I'm a sucker for Rebecca, the one with the CP...the other kids are so good with her. Anyway, I think I could handle him as a Hubby..Sweet, funny and clearly loves his family.
ETA: I forgot to mention the final Jay Leno--great show, what a class act. Great ending bringing all the kids out that have been born to his staff since the show started. Apparently, he was a class-A matchmaker..lol
Sorry, don't like Conan or his weird hair..lol He just comes off as a big goof ball to me. I hope Jay gets to take "Jaywalking" with him. I don't know how he'll play at 10PM--not sure he can keep the same humour with it not being late-night.

I love TV too much. Let's see, I watch (regularly) So You Think You Can Dance (love love love) ANTM/CNTM (guilty pleasure) Amazing Race Prison Break (well, not anymore!) Supernatural (guys - it's AMAZING - go rent the first season and then get back to me - hilarious, suspenseful, heart felt and HOT HOT guys) Medium Dollhouse - picked this one up this year - long time Whedon fan - first few eps were not great but it ended so amazingly The Soup - when I catch it - so funny How I Met Your Mother - was always interrupted by PB, but now I can watch it The Tudors - HOT Shows I have on DVD: Sex and the City Buffy Angel Friends ER It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia The Office Prison Break Supernatural Dirty Jobs The Tudors The Pretender X Files 24 (first two seasons - though it's not my favourite) Yup...I have an addiction. But I promise I don't just watch TV all day. I'm going to miss Jay Leno - I like him better than Letterman. But I'm glad he's going to be on at 10pm - means I can watch him! The late shows are too late for me these days. I also love the British specials that are on sometimes: Worst Jobs in History. Wish I could buy THOSE on DVD. Also, I try to catch re-runs of MI-5 when I can. But they are sporratic.

Sabina, welcome to TAAA (Television Addicts -- Almost -- Anonymous)! Cindy also likes Medium. I watched most of the finale, which left our heroine in a comma. I THOUGHT the show had been picked up by another network, or did it get canceled? And what happened last week with Alyce Beaseley as the competing psychic? I only watched part of that during commercial breaks in whatever was on the other channel.
About Extreme Makeover: Home Edition ... Something I never thought about until I heard this: Some if not many of the new-home recipients go broke and have to move/sell the house, or lose it altogether since they are not able to pay taxes on the thing. People who win cars on The Price is Right have the same problem, paying the taxes break them and a dream turns into a nightmare. That's stuff the show never talks about.
I've also wondered about those kids bedroom. Most of them are garish, and I can't imagine a 16-year-old boy wanting to sleep in the race-car bed that was built for him when he was eight. Nearly all of the kid bedrooms creep me out. But the houses themselves are magnificent. Even before hearing the stories about tax foreclosures, though, I've wondered how capable the people are to keep the places up and looking good, and in good repair. It would be interesting to do some follow-up shows, but I suspect that would be something for 20/20, or some other investigative program (on another network!).
Sabina, what is ANTM/CNTM? My guilty pleasure this summer is The Bachelorette, which I will watch every week until the end. There are lots of hot guys on that show, all look like models, NONE of them have chest hair (waxing, anyone?) and I doubt any of them are right for Jillian, but it's just brain candy anyway. You will have to come back weekly to chat up SYTYCD, which I don't call a guilty pleasure at all, it's just fantastic.
TV shows on DVD are my addiction, but I've had to go cold turkey since my income tanked with the economy. I've seen Sex and the City in reruns, but on network so a lot of stuff has been edited, which probably helped me like it more than I would if I had seen the originals on HBO. I've seen some Buffys and like them. I hate Steve Carrel so can barely stand The Office, but LOVE Ricky Gervais so adore the original. I watched 24 the first two years, then quit after it got to be so much same-old-same-o. X-Files I watched every week when that was on. The other shows you like, I can't get those channels, except for Friends ... I must be the only person in the universe who has never watched a single ep of that show.
I prefer Leno to Letterman as well. I cannot stomach Paul Schaeffer, and hate, hate, hate him always butting in like he's the funny one. If he shut up, or if Dave got rid of him, I might enjoy the show. (For instance, last evening with Jim Fowler the animal guy, Dave was really funny.) In contrast, I get a huge kick out of Kevin on Leno. He's laid back and giggles a lot, and lets himself be the butt of Jay's jokes without trying to be the center of attention. I also like Jimmy Kimmel, perhaps my fav late-night chat host. He's hilarious and does wonderful movie clips. The last one I saw was "Gorgeous Man" with Matthew Fox. Too funny.
I'll enjoy Leno on earlier, too. I understand he is keeping headlines and Jaywalking, although his set/desk stayed with Conan. Funny Jay said that about leaving his desk since the set got a new and brilliant makeover for Conan. I like Conan, too, he's sharp and witty and self-deprecating. His humour can be a tad gross, which I guess he'll have to tone back, maybe. I wonder if Triumph will appear ... I swear, that dog makes me LOL.
