I guess the main shows I'm watching right now are desperate housewives and brothers and sisters. Both are OK, but I must say, I wish there was more of a selection. The arguing on B and S can get annoying but at the same time, it's realistic given the different personalities. I used to really like Kitty and Robert, but this new ambitious Robert just blows all of the chemistry IMO.
Housewives is okay, but I mainly watch out of habit. Really glad Tom stopped whining this week. He's such a girl..lol
I guess Amazing Race is my fav because I enjoy the scenery. Def. looks stressful though. I don't think I could partner through it with anyone in my life right now and come out better for it:-)

Cindy, I used to be a faithful DH and B+S watcher, but quit both of them. I still look at B+S every once in a while. I was interested to see who had the heart attack (Rob Lowe? Really?), and didn't know anything about he and Calista having a surrogate baby. Now, THAT'S a very wierd twist; did Calista decide to do it that way so as not to ruin her figure (meow)? I have to say I hate, hate, hate Patricia Wettig on that show, one of the main reasons I quit watching. I thought her character was WAY too ballsy pushing into the family business and getting all bossy when she was a concubine, kept woman, sleazebag (heh) with the dad/husband. (Can you tell I have no respect for women who sleep with married men?) I hated every minute she was on screen. But I did enjoy watching the youngest son, the war vet (can't think of his name). He is hot, hot, hot! If they got rid of Balthazar Getty (a sleazebag in real life!) and Patricia Wettig, had them drown together in the family pool, I'd start watching again. Heh. Yeah, I'm tough.
I quit Housewives after the season where the black family (I forget the famous actress' name) kept the son locked in the basement. I used to really look forward to it. But things got a little too stretched for me.
I understand Nathan Fillian, now on Castle, use to be on DH?
I love Amazing Race, too. I like seeing the different countries, but wow, some of the "tasks" those people have to accomplish look impossible. Some I would be great at, but some ... oh, hopeless! I laughed last season at the two nerd frat guys who couldn't do simple marching, they were so uncoordinated. If I did that show, I would want to partner with someone who is multi-lingual. I wonder if the show is edited to make the stunts look tougher than they are. Otherwise, I'd think teams would be getting lost all over the globe, like the team a few weeks ago (brother/sister) who climbed that entire mountain after they went the wrong way. Yikes.

Oh man, I forgot to give a shout out to my ER who went old school last week and reunited the gang. Man, I still really like that show, I'll miss it.
Gingerbird: B and S did in fact dump Balthazar Getty he's leaving and next yr will only be recurring. Not sure about the Castle thing, I never know actors by name unless they've been around for yrs..lol
Housewives went back to less crazy twists and though I was skeptical about the 5 yr jump this yr, I think it was a good move. This yr is more about dealing with stuff in their own families.
LOL at the amazing race. I know I won't eat anything weird but that hand-gliding stuff looked fun--wish I had the guts. That brother was unbelievable but she was worse for not standing up for herself I would have left him on that mountain after 20 min of his whining/control crap. Lucky to still be in it.

I used to be a big ER fan but went off it after they killed off Romano. I thought the way they did it was really crappy. He was an awesome character. I keep intending on watching some of this season's episodes to see the old characters come back in but I keep forgetting!
I've never watched Brothers and Sisters and I had never watched Desperate Housewives but when the current Season started I watched the first couple of episodes cuz I liked the idea of it jumping 5 years ahead (obviously the Lost lover in me there!) I thought it was good but just fell away from it as I hadn't watched any of the previous seasons.
Lost is my all time favourite (besides Prison Break of course!) I've watched that from the get-go. The first season wasn't shown over here until nearly a year after it aired in the U.S.
When the first season ended here I just didn't know if I'd cope until they aired the second one (as it turned out they started airing it here about a week after it aired in the States which meant i didn't have long to wait between season 1 and 2 here which was great!) so the next night I was switching around wondering what I could watch that would grip me and low and behold I see these two fine men on my screen and so I left the channel on so I could drool and within minutes I was hooked and that my friends is how I got into Prison Break. It was half way through the first season and i was dying to know how it all began. Luckily over here they were selling the season in two parts so i was able to go out and buy the first half of Prison Break the next day. I was very happy indeed.
In relation to Lost though, I was a bit disappointed in the second season. I thought it just dragged on and on with no real development. I decided to give season 3 the benefit of the doubt though and it didn't fail me. A lot of people I know gave up watching it during the second season though.
I thought season 3 was very good and that season 4 was just fantastic! I'm loving this season now. Last nights eppie won't air here until Sunday night. I was very naughty though. I went into TWOP this morning and read what happened which i try not to do cuz i love all the shocks and twists and turns.
Sawyer has been my fave character since the first episode. Plus he is absolutely yummy. Jack bugs me yet I like him too at times. Kate's been bugging me the last couple of seasons though.
The other show I like is CSI: NY. I love Gary Sinise.

PEANUT! I don't have time right now, but I'll be back tomorrow to talk about Lost. I'm nuts over it. I have a HUGE crush on Desmond (could he have been hotter dressed in scarf and cap when he went to Oxford a few weeks ago?), but I'm really, really worried about Des and Penny after Ben showed up all bloody before getting on that plane. GAH! Remember he told Penny's dad he was going to kill his daughter ... if anything happens to break Desmond's heart, I'll jump through my tv screen and throttle Ben myself.
I've never watched ER. Can you believe that? But I tuned in last week to see George Clooney. Turned it back to another channel after a few minutes. Yeah, I'm a loser.
Can't wait to chat up Lost with you, peanut! Later ...

I tried to watch ER this season, but missed most of the episodes. I did love seeing Carol and Doug together again. I usually watch the reruns on TNT in the morning if I am going into work later.
I dont really have any other shows I watch every week, except for bad reality tv like "Rock of Love" and crap like that. I used to be really into "The Office" and "30 Rock", but I cant find the time to keep up on the shows.

I really miss shows like Sisters, 30something and once and again (I know, I'm old:-)) I miss the days when the networks actually spent money on production/actors instead of letting "real" people take over my airwaves. I guess I miss the family aspect of t.v and it's why I hang in with B and S.
Even the game shows. I used to love to tape price is right once in awhile to see how old Bob was doing. Ever since Drew C took over I can't STAND it. I was happy to see Password on as well (Sunday nights) til they ripped it off the air after about 6 weeks. Find a better host (so over Regis as a host) and bring it back. I'll host 25000 pyramid, I LOVE that game..lol

Aww Cindy-I would watch Sisters every Saturday night when I was young. I have all brothers(6) and so I loved a show about all sisters. My mom was super into Once and Again. She actually met Sela Ward a few years ago. Side story-So my mom was so into Once and Again that a few online friends got together, compiled items that were symbolic from the show(like a paper crane for PB), put all the stuff on a huge wreath, and mailed it to the show along with a letter of explanation. I think my mom actually got a thank you letter, and if you watch some of the later shows when one of the kids was living in the attic, you can see the wreath is actually hanging in the background. Sela Ward had a book out a few years ago and my mom went to meet her and when my mom mentioned the wreath, Sela remembered and gave my mom a hug.

neira: Cool story! I LOVE sela ward. I can't believe a show hasn't picked her up. There's so many older actors out there that would do well on a good family show. I STILL miss Joan of Arcadia (and the fact that it didn't get a proper ending) Everytime I see ghost whisperer on instead of Joan I want to throw things and ask why it's still on..lol

Hey Cindy, I think Edie is suppose to die tonight on Housewives. Be sure to come here and tell us about it. I'll be watching Celebrity Apprentice on the other station, but will flip during commercials to see if I can see how she dies. The trades have been very close-mouthed about it.
More later. Gotta run as Amazing Race is on soon, and I still have work to finish before morning!

Okay, I'd HEARD of a nose flute but never thought I'd ever see one since I never figured they were real. They are. (Reference: Amazing Race's "Welcome to Jaipur.") Now that I've seen one, I wish I hadn't.

LOL gingerbird --no kidding--how gross. BTW, Edie got fried by a hydro-pole after she slammed into it with her car trying to avoid Orson who had run out in the street after getting caught stealing (the lamest plot device this season) I'm wondering if she will be sent to a rehab centre to re-coup and be back next yr? They may want to leave it open.

Yeah, Cindy, that nose-flute player could play a tune and sing a song at the same time. TRES GROSS! Heh.
I remembered last night what bothered me about last week's Amazing Race ... the underwear run through the streets of a Russian city. How embarrassing was THAT, and why on earth would they have them strip to their undies to go out in public? The son had to run in his tight, black skivvies while being cheered on by his MOTHER, and the gal in the thong had her ass pixelated out on camera, yet she had to run X miles through a city like that, with her butt hanging out, then run into a ballet theatre and stand in front of the host, next to naked. Gah. Call me old-fashioned, but they could have given them shorts and tanks if the point was to run in -3C temps. I wonder what would have happened if a guy was commando ... heh.
If Amazing Race were a drinking game, how drunk would we be if we took a shot every time the sister/brother team said "lawyer"?
I was flipping over from Celebrity Apprentice so saw Edie get fried by the electric wire. I've been thinking about it since ... she was wearing sneakers (heh!) with rubber-insulating soles, then she stepped into water ... then the metal door touched the wire ... no way could she live through that. I was thinking she should have been frozen in an arc, since electrocuted muscles go rigid and a person can't let go of a hot wire, but if the force of the "blast" caused the door to move, that would have broken the electrical circuit.
I've given that WAY too much thought ...
From the previews, I'm thinking she'll go into a coma to be held over for future shows, even though the trades say she's dead and she's leaving. Maybe they'll milk the coma for a while. Was she in the five-year-flash-forward? If so, then she lives!
Since I haven't watched for a while, I don't know who the guy was trying to kill Dana Delaney or why Orson was running around with a sack over his head. Heh. I do know I don't like Mike the Plumber not being with Susan, though. I liked them together.
I remember why I quit watching ... I hate the Carlos storyline, everything about it. I hated the part I saw last night with the two fat kids, and I didn't even know what was going on.
I'm watching Dancing With the Stars. I hate the judges and can't stand their critiques. The show invites people who can't dance to participate, then the judges rank on them because they can't dance. I mean, come on ...

LOL@ginger. ITA on the DWTS! What's up with getting people you KNOW can't dance and then ripping them apart? I get no joy from that, but love to see them get out there and try. They always surprise me (pleasantly). It also bothers me that amateur dancers are let in. Well, there is a former ballerina/Dallas Cowboys cheerleader who is competing this year (her name escapes me). I consider that amateur . . . Compared with the others, that seems almost unfair. Ya with me?
