I tell you, I'm really starting to lose track of my tv stuff so I hope some of you return to help me out. I haven't been watching ANYTHING this summer (except I'm up to season 5 on weeds thanks to the library)
I haven't even see a movie in months. I have the time traveller's wife and I still haven't watched it. I did see the Michael Jackson movie which seemed like a pretty good representation of him. I would have preferred it on the big screen though for full effect. It's funny, I used to wait with baited breath for the new stuff. Now it's like "What night is it on again??
They cancelled Fastforward just when I was hoping to watch it over the summer. And I SWEAR, I'm not going to watch Biggest Loser anymore. By the time it's over, <I> need therapy.
Modern Family was decent but I didn't love it as much as most seem to so my only "break out" was the "Good Wife"
And is anybody else watching "wipe out??" Every time I turn on my tv and put it up in the high channels I stumble across these people flying off balls, getting punched, screaming getting dumped in muddy water and I'm sorry it makes me laugh!
I mean someone should tell these people, once you tape an eppy, they have it FOREVER. The commentary/nicknames just crack me up!
I'll mark down "Chase" and see if I can't get myself a new show!

Fish, you are amazing at knowing actors and their characters. I watch old reruns and THEN recognize people from newer shows I've seen, like the Lost/PB connection. I never knew I had already seen Lost's "Jacob," Mark Pelligrino, in Prison Break OR as Rita's abusive ex-husband in Dexter. I also caught him in the old Ashley Judd/Morgan Freeman movie Twisted, in which he plays ... an abusive boyfriend! I've never seen Falcone, but if I ever catch it in a rerun, I'll recognize Titus Welliver this time!
I've never seen Stargate: Universe. I was watching Robert's season on Heroes, but unfortunately it couldn't hold my interest so I didn't care when it got cancelled. I hate when that happens! Heh.
Let us know, Fish, when our PB guys get booked onto new shows. I'm interested to see WM in Resident Evil.
Cindy, while I loved Flashforward because of Joseph Fiennes, I sort of got worn out by it just as it got cancelled, so, once again, I didn't care. I did find out a few days ago that John Cho, Joseph Fiennes' partner on the show, plays Harold in all the Harold and Kumar movies. Small world! I get a kick out of the connections all these actors have, like the Lost/PB connection.
I can't have Wipe Out on my tv for more than three seconds, I can't even watch the commercials for it. The people falling off those big balls all twist and flop in such horrible ways, they all have to have whiplash/popped vertebrae/sprains/contusions. I'm aghast seeing it, it's like staring at a deadly car crash, definitely NOT a fun time for me. Cindy, you and I MOST! DEF! have different taste. "Vive la différence," say the French.
Have never seen Good Wife since I can't get any CBS stations. It's still getting good reviews, however.
I've watched a few moments of Modern Family, but I have little patience with "comedies" that concentrate on bodily function jokes and bathroom/bedroom humor. What happened to the good-old days when writers could write a joke that is truly FUNNY without relying on rude humor? Yeah, I know ... good luck on finding that. Although The Simpsons still makes me laugh ... as does Supernatural!

Ginger just a quick reply for the moment since I'm in a rush, but if you get the chance, re-watch eppies of "Golden Girls" I was too young when it came out to really appreciate it but one of my channels quite often runs marathons and it was so SMART. Those actressses just geled. Not something you see much anymore.
ITA on Modern Family. Couple funny moments but I can do without it. It's shot in a weird way too. Almost seems "live" but it isn't and it seems to echo..makes it seem cheap IMO. I much preferred the Julie chick (forget her last name) in ED. There's an old tv connection for you! lol

Cindy, I love "The Good Wife!" I never missed an episode, and I've been watching some of the reruns this summer. And "Ed" -- what a great show! I tried a couple of Tom Cavanagh's shows since then, but didn't care for them.
I never cared much for "The Golden Girls," but I'm loving Betty White in "Hot in Cleveland" -- the show reminds me a little of "Designing Women."

OMG Fish, I watched it tonight for the first time, what a stellar cast! And Betty White gets all the good lines..."He's 85 but he has BOTH original hips" LOL ITA on Tom C's other shows after ED. That one where he was a music producer or some dumb thing? SO BAD.
I love Julianne M in the good wife but I do keep saying that "Logan" needs to go back to the Gilmore Girls..lol
Chris N will always be "BIG" to me, but it's nice to see him in other roles too. One of the things I love is the strong female lead..long overdue IMO.

Saw a listing of films/shows premiering at ComicCon. Came across the new tv show, "The Walking Dead," starring SWC, our good doctor. Seems zombies and vampires and werewolves are the in crowd this year.
Maybe it will run on the same network as "Chase!"

Busy month for former PB-ers -- I spotted Marshall Allman in a commercial for The Defenders. He was sitting in a courtroom, wearing an orange jumpsuit. I don't watch True Blood, so this is the first I've seen him in a while. And I've never watched Sons of Anarchy, but I found a really nice interview with Kim Coates: www.tvsquad.com/2010/10/26/sons-of-anarchy-kim-coates-interview/Wade Williams was in last week's The Whole Truth, playing a detective.

So has anyone watched SWC on The Walking Dead? This weekend I finally caught up with the pilot that aired on Halloween, and the new episode that was on last night. It's really good. I'm not usually one for zombies or gore or even sci-fi, but this is really well acted and written and beautifully shot...considering the constant zombie violence, that is. Not sure about SWC's Lori, though. We haven't seen much of her, but I'm questioning some of her character's decisions. **SPOILER** I'm not quite sure of the timeline and how long Rick was in the hospital before the zombies attacked (and, uh, why would he just get left there? How exactly did he get overlooked?), or if the affair with Shane started before all of that madness, but I'm not sure my first reaction to a zombie apocolypse would be to have sex with my husband's friend. Maybe that's just me.

Hey Hep, good to see you! I don't think I get the channel that Walking Dead is on..think it's one of the US specialty channels? I know people are talking about it though. It's funny, I never would have considered watching something like that 5 yrs ago, but hey, if I can watch a Mom selling weed to support her kids (Weeds) Then I think I.m ok with zombies.
Just another quick note on weeds..can't believe how far off track it's gotten. She's gone from neighbourhood dealer to hard-core criminal. Can't believe Sylus has become the voice of reason and Shane is so screwed up now. I'm not sure as a parent, I would want to see my kid playing that role, I mean he's really gone to the dark side. (BTW not speaking as a parent just saying if he was my kid I'd be thinking twice about letting him play someone like that. He's great at it but at some point you just have to wonder how healthy it is)

I just found out Rockmond Dunbar, C-Note, is on FX's Terriers. I don't get that station, but maybe some of you do. www.fxnetworks.com/shows/originals/terriers/cast.phpI plan to watch a Marshall Allman movie, Dishdogz, coming on in a little bit. It was made in 2006, PB first-season time!

Yeah Hep, I'm not keen on SWC's character either but fans (of the show) are really up in arms with her sleeping with hubby's best mate even if she did think he was dead (hubby) and calling her a sleeper etc. Of course the character of Shane (best friend) isn't getting any grief over it! Double standards piss me off. The way I look at it is, she thought her hubby was dead. Best friend gets her and her son out of Dodge during a zombie apocalypse. The world is turned upside down and he and her son is all she really has left of her old life. I can understand why she would take comfort from Shane in any shape or form. And maybe the fact that he was hubby's best friend even adds to that. It's not exactly normal circumstances.
I dunno how I would react in a similar situation (and I'm figuring I won't ever have to haha!) but I think viewers are being too hard on the character.
I love the character of Daryl and that's usually a character I wouldn't like but the actor is so good and there's something about the character that tells me he'll be an out and out good guy (unlike his creepy brother). I also like Glen. I think they'll become good buddies.

Let's catch up on some of our former PBers, shall we? Wenty wrote a script that is set to begin filming this spring. www.deadline.com/2011/01/mia-wasikowska-in-stoker-talks/Dom has four films in post-production, according to imdb. www.imdb.com/name/nm0700712/Bill's 3-D flick opens later this month. Cute interview here: www.heyuguys.co.uk/2011/02/07/exclusive-drive-angry-3d-interview-william-fichtner/Sadly, NBC canceled Amaury's show, Chase. Maybe they'll air the last few episodes. Rockmond's show, Terriers, was canceled by FX. Knepper's set to reprise the role of T-Bag for the upcoming Olmstead/Santora drama Breakout Kings. No, they have no plans to bring back any other PB characters. Sarah's still hanging out with zombies on The Walking Dead, and Marshall's dealing with vampires on True Blood. Wade will portray Allen Ginsberg in the upcoming movie The Chicago 8 -- sounds interesting. Paul will direct an episode of Private Practice, according to TVGuide: www.tvguide.com/News/Private-Paul-Adelstein-1028911.aspx?rss=news&partnerid=spi&profileid=05Robin's role on The Mentalist seems to be secure, if they don't let Red John get her. Silas did a guest spot last month. Am I missing anybody?

Wow, cool update! I figured Went was script writing..it was pretty obvious he didn't enjoy the acting spotlight when it came to being followed around...
4 films for Dom? wow. Never saw him as all that..lol
I saw your idea that I should win passes to Bill's film. No such luck, I can't see in 3D so it's wasted on me (something about my eyes/perception issues) I saw Narnia in 3D (free passes) and all I saw was fuzz and distorted images...it made me feel sick actually..:-P
Chase never really got out of the gate---the guy on my radio entertainment report was trashing it before it even started it. That's why I never bothered with it
Really? T-bag again? Wow, opened some doors for him eh? (Though I guess it shut the door on any "good guy" stuff) Seriously, even his pics creep me out!
I tried True Blood--I just found it weird--3 eppies and I was out...though many people I know seem to love it
I've enjoyed Paul on PP--he's had a decent storyline this year though he will always be Kellerman to me.
Robin--still don't like her!
Chicago eight..gang film?
At least they all aren't in the unemployment line..lol
