I LOVE NEW YORK!!! So we actually got Letterman tickets. Even with the ticket in my hand, I could barely believe I had a ticket. We ended up in the last row, but could still see everything. Letterman rocked and was really funny.
After we left there, we had a great seafood dinner and then made our way to 30 Rock(which btw, we have been there sooo much) to try to get into Jimmy Fallon with our stand by tickets. He is not filming shows yet, but doing practice shows.
We again ended up in the last row and to see anything we had to stand, but that was fine.
He had on guest we really didnt know, an actor from Transformers, the new Real Housewife of NYC and a chef. Fallon was pretty funny and his house band the roots totally rocks. Any band with a tuba player has too be good right?
The absolute coolest thing was, at the end, Jimmy shook hands and came up the stairs. He totally touched my arm and then shook my hand. The HOURS of waiting was so worth it.
Now we are resting our feet and hoping to sleep in a bit tomorrow.
Thanks for the Top Ten List!!!

Can somebody tell me what happened at the end of ER tonight? Was that John Carter at the end? I initially thought it was the brain injury guy but my Mom thought it was John. Was he getting dialysis? I'm sooo confused...

I was in NY for 4 days, I of course wanted to stay longer but it is so expensive.
I am back at work and normal life now. I am watching the Oscars and so far Hugh Jackman rocks.

neira: well you got a lot done in 4 days..you had quite the adventure! I was desperately scouring for the leaked "winners" oscar list--I had entered a contest where you had to get all the winners right to be entered and of course, right after I entered, rumors of a "leaked" list surfaced. Don't know if it was true but I was kicking myself for not doing more research before I entered:-)
Heath Ledger won, correct? That was predictable. (I think that is what I saw when I had it on for a bit, earlier.) I'll never understand why Hollywood seems to honor the dead more than the living. The whole thing was so sad, then it seems sadder somehow when the actor reaches a new level only, they don't get to see/enjoy it.

Hey guys. Busy weekend, but I got baby free time Saturday... went to see Confessions of a Shopaholic. so good. And did a little shopping lol.. and we went to dinner w/ both sets of our parents and Maddie.. Bucca de Peppo (sp?) the best bruschetta I've ever had! Yesterday MrDill worked and Maddie and I did some errands, and then we watched some of the Oscars last nite.

That's nice that you all like each other enough to do dinner all together. I wish my family were like that. Glad you enjoyed the movie, so many good ones to see right now.
I was at an outlet mall myself, and couldn't believe the deals, I actually started my xmas shopping and I NEVER start this early.

Hey guys!
Happy birthday Jwex!
Gotta agree - the Oscars rocked it this year! I was happy for Kate Winslet - I really like her. And cried when the Ledgers got on stage.
Jen - have you read the Shopaholic books? Was the movie as good as the books?
I've been super busy with work and social life...and on Sunday I made muffins (peanut butter chocolate chip) and beef barley soup from scratch -yummm..
Anyway, happy Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday/Shrove Tuesday/Pancake Tuesday/Packzi Day!!! I'm making pancakes for dinner tonight - though I'd really love a packzi.
Oh, and so fun fun (not) the windshield-washing fluid reservoir in my car is cracked I think. I pour in fluid, it all drips out. Great. So I've made an appointment on Saturday to have that fixed. I have way too much experience in getting weird things fixed on cars.

I know Jen! Deals like that rock!
Yes, happy fat tuesday! I was actually supposed to be in NO this year, but I'm just not comfortable leaving kitty at this point for a week. I really don't trust anyone else with him as there are meds involved.
That is a weird thing to have go wrong with your car Sabina. And can I say...you cook some interesting things...peanut butter chocolate chip..sounds kind of strong..I'm glad trhey were good though. Next time I'm near London you can cook for me!:-)

Happy birthday Jwexler. I was eating King Cake at work today. We were told a bunch of stores will be closing, but not mine. I have friends at those stores, but they should be placed in different stores. I am trying to get back to the gym, but it is more fun to watch tv and eat junk food.
