Hey guys,

As you know TWOP isn't going to allow us to keep posting in one thread once the show ends. So, I started this place. You can talk about kids, job searches, PB, whatever. It can be separated into different threads if you like, but for now, I'll just keep it as one. As you can see, I've also started a Wentworth Wednesday thread for keeping pics in (I did this because I have dial up and going through just pics takes a long time so better to keep it as it's own thread.) If you want other pic threads, feel free to start one. Just one rule here. Be kind.

Hey, good on you, Cindy, for starting this new chat room. It was talked about a few years back in The Yard, but nothing happened with it. It took you to make it happen, Cindy Our Star! It WILL be nice to post without worrying about getting reprimanded for something you didn't even know you were doing wrong. So, good to see you, nelra! (Maybe you can tell us what you did wrong sometime? Maybe catperson can share here, too.) I might not post a lot, but it's good to have a new place to lurk. Heh. Although maybe I will start posting, as long as Mod Cindy doesn't start handing out "Warnings"! Oh, and as for the emoticons ... remember Sobell saying we should all be able to write in words, not resort to pictures? Ouch. Those words STILL ring in my brain; I have never used an emoticon since that TWoP reprimand ...

Ginger-I posted in the Little People, Big world thread a link to gosselinswithoutpity.com and then said something about LPBW and the mod said it was site pimping. So I was banned. So I used my seekrit name, which is in reference to another private board that started when the the Jon and Kate plus 8 thread was closed. I posted the message in the meet market about who I used to be, so that you all would know who I was, not just a newbie. I was warned about that message, saying I better not "run afoul of the rules." So basically, thanks Cindy for creating this board.

LOL Gingerbird. Warnings aren't my style. I'm a writer so I'm big on the "free speech" thing. As long as it's not all F this and that, I'm good. I don't see any of you riding the F train so no worries

I still can't believe TWOP couldn't spare us a thread. Whatever. Part of T.V. viewing is socializing too IMO, so they should have just done it. Nobody else would have cared.

I do hope we get the "regulars" over here so we can keep our nice little group.

ETA: BTW neira I like Jon and Kate too, though lately it feels like a travel log. I get that they get free trips but not sure I need to see that every week LOL I must admit, I love all the kids with the exception of Maddie (not Jen's Maddie ) Such a little diva that one, and so full of jealousy. I'm sure it's hard having so many sibs, but she always seems to be saying "I won't do this or that.." or "Why do the babies get that?" I NEVER could have gotten away with that. I've always wondered what the deal was with Kate's parents not being around. Who wouldn't want to be around all of those great kids? Maybe they see them outside of the show, but I don't get that impression.

LPBW: Enjoyed it until I realized how spoiled the kids are. No appreciation for what they have and I think they have the worst grades in the state:-) They never seem to get consequences for anything and Amy is a worse housekeeper than I am and that's saying something...LOL

Yeah, Ginger, I wonder what catperson did also. I never saw her post anything inappropriate, IMHO, on the PB TWOP forum. Personally, I've gotten 3 warnings in the past for little stuff and it's always when a new mod takes over, which is frustrating. I miss the "sobell" days.

BTW, I always love finding out where people got their names. Personally, I am a HUGE Stephen Colbert fan and, if you watch his show, he IS the original "eagle of truth".

Catperson DOES know about this board because I emailed her personally. I know she's one of the ones who had had mod trouble so I wanted to make sure she knew we were here.

Honestly, I think I would have gotten a serious "warning" if I hadn't deleted my response to the mods response about a thread for us. I told her I thought it was ridiculously silly and what was the big deal about one thread when they had a whole board? I thought better of it though, and took it to e-mail where I was a bit nicer because I didn't want to get banned for the last few months of the board. I do know that LOTS of people have had probs and that if those mods aren't careful, they'll have noone to moderate.

I'm shocked they even let me put the link up in the thread. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets taken down at some point because one of the mods has a problem with it. Our PB one has only been around for 6 months so I wouldn't be surprised if one of them pulled rank and took the link out.

I see blossom is a member but hasn't posted yet. **waves to blossom** I'm hoping to eventually see Sabina too, but I know she is busy with mega job right now so we'll see.

This is awesome Cindy. Glad to see the Yard will live on in some form.

Eagle: my name is one of my unofficial middle names. And with 82 tacked on the end for the year I was born. Sabina is a family name (it's my gramma's middle name) that has been in the family since the 1600s (we have one family tree - my dad's mom's mom's side) that extends back to Johann Rist, a German composer in the 1600s).

This weekend we had our family Christmas and it went really well. My mom and dad outdid themselves with the spread of food. Sooo much stuff, and not just the ordinary things - lots of different food to try. It was one of our better family get togethers- not too much cattiness or bickering. =)

I'm out of town this week for work, so I don't know how much computer access I will have. But I'll see you guys soon I'm sure!

My name is pretty boring too.. my first name and the first part of our last name. Nothing too exciting.
So on my dinner break tonight (i'm working for a co-worker who needed off today) we're taking our family christmas picture... I can't wait. There will be the family in front of the tree and just Maddie in front of the tree.

Hey Sabina, glad you made it.

That's a great idea doing the family thing early. We do ours boxing day (26th) and half the time I don't even go because I don't drive and I'm at others' mercy til someone can drive me home. Someone always seems to be drinking too much or saying something stupid and it makes me flat out uncomfortable. I'll probably go this year though, just so they remember what I look like.

I probably wouldn't do well at yours Sabina because I like the basics. Mashed potatoes, buns, a bit of dessert...I always avoid the "different" stuff.

I might even start to post more often again, without having to be afraid of getting a warning or being banned for nothing at all.

Hey Hep! Welcome. Can't believe it's Monday already. Only a couple more weeks of PB before we lose it for months (though I'm still hoping a Fox show tanks in Jan so we get it back sooner)
