The highlight for me was Keith Urban front row last december. Total fluke. I've always been in the nosebleed for that kind of stuff and DID get lucky in a draw (1 in 5) for front row. It was amazing. To watch him with that guitar--clearly his passion. Only disappointing part--he was never directly in front of me because there was no mike by me and when others moved with him to take pics, I couldn't. He looked so good and was extremely emotional after his re-hab stint. He thanked everyone for sticking with him and seemed very sincere. It's something I'll never forget.
ITA about Alan's voice. It is very pure and I did enjoy watching his videos on a big screen.
I've never re-posted the link to here because I'm afraid I'll get kicked out of twop for "board pimping" The mod did originally let me post it, but who knows now? Maybe she'll change the rule, you just never know. ITA eagle, spare me the morality crap from some kiddie mods..lol.
Totally turned me off when the dumped Went Wednesday's. No reason for it except it was "beneath" them Give me a break. I'm just glad the majority of you came over here and I'm not talking to myself and posting pics for my own sad enjoyment....lol
Neira: Take me with you, take me with you! Everybody goes to NY without me;-( Take good pics and post them!

Well Eagle, Brad really rocked! I totally underestimated his guitar skills, and his show was filled with incredible lighting/animation. Too far for good pics (I needed one of Sabina's good cameras) but I'll def put him on the list as a "highly recommend" concert. Not to mention he had about 10 different guitars..lol
Happy Valantine's Day all! Have a little treat today !
If you all want to post some extra pics in the cast pic thread in honor of the day, feel free to do so. Mahone love, Went love, Amaury Love, it's all good:-)

Hey guys! Happy Valentine's Day. Though, I'm not huge on Valentine's....but whatever. My friend and I celebrated by going to see "My Bloody Valentine 3D" on Thursday night (we wanted to go last night, but Thursday was the last day it was in the theatre). It was very scary (yay!) and the 3D was AMAZING. I'm totally desensitized to scary movies for the most part - so found it amusing rather than terrifying. Didn't lose any sleep over it, that's for sure. But the BEST part was seeing the gorgeous Jensen Ackles' face in 3D close ups right in front of me...drooool....worth the price of admission. (If you don't know him, look him up! You won't regret it) I just got back from the gym and now I've got to clean the apartment. My friend and I are going shopping today too since my whole family is coming up tomorrow to celebrate belated birthdays - and I haven't got a single thing for my mom or dad yet!! But...my dad told me not to buy him anything (so I'm just going to go to Lee Valley Tools - his favourite place in the world, and boy does he love that I live so close to one now - and get him something small). And for my mom I'm getting two photos enlarged - one of Lake Huron that I took this fall that she loves. The other is from 3 years ago when we went to Scotland - it's a picture of Slains Castle that my dad took and it is beautiful. She wants to get them mounted and framed for the house. Also I've got to transfer all my files to my external hard drive b/c tomorrow my brother is bringing me my brand new computer! So excited! Cindy - glad you loved the concert! Do you get "Family Day" off? I don't. But I've booked off Wednesday instead and my friend and I are going to get pedicures and go to the "So You Think You Can Dance Canada" tour that evening.

Cindy, I'm glad you liked the concert! I'm with Sabina in that I'm so NOT into Valentine's Day it isn't even funny. Right now, I'm just hanging out at home. No biggie. I'm counting the days until Spring Break (starts March 6th). I also get out a LOT earlier than I'm used to this year. My last day is May 19th this year and in Charlotte, we got out a month later at about June 15th. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice, right? (The reason for getting out earlier is fewer days off-teacher workdays- in the school year, which I can deal with)

lol so we are pretty much the anti-valentine group, another reason we get along. That's great about getting out so early eagle. Are you done after the yr or are you staying?
Sabina: Happy new computer! At least you know how to transfer your files lol. I lost all mine once, thought about getting an external drive after that, but I think I have most of my disks for re-install anyway now.
Have a great time at "so you think you can dance" cool outing! Happy Birthday celebrating!

I am almost done packing for my trip. I just need to pack my camera charger and laptop. I need to go to bed early since I have to leave for the airport at 5 am. I will try to keep up on the board since I am taking my laptop with me. Valentine's day was pretty uneventful for me. I worked and then went home. No special gifts from laptop giver.

so you have wi-fi on your computer neira. My Mom wants to know if she takes her laptop to a cafe with wi-fi will it work? I don't know what to tell her since I really don't know much about it. It's a really old computer so I doubt it, but I've never done the cafe thing. Can any of you tell me what's involved/what she would need?

Hi everyone. Cindy - sorry, I don't know. I don't use wifi. But my dad does - not sure what he's installed to do that but when he goes anywhere, the computer lets him know if there is a signal that he can use. New computer is AWESOME. It's 465GB - so very much faster than my old one. Also my brother got me a new 19" LCD flat screen...yippee!! Happy Family Day, Cindy! I'll be at work. Happy trip, nelra!!

Hey guys. Happy belated Vday.. I was sick Friday.. wonderful stomach virus. Nothing special this weekend... Saturday MrDill worked so I hung out at home w/ Maddie then met him at his rents for a lil then back home. Sunday we went to lunch at a nice restaurant.. nothing we'd go back to anytime soon cuz it was expensive and not quite out type of food.. but we had a gift certificate so why not use it. and then we went out to dinner w/ family... I think we successfully only ate breakfast at home this weekend.. sad but we just don't cook.

Cindy-my laptop has a built in wifi thingie. So when I go somewhere that has wifi, I search for a network, then connect to it. I am using the hotel wifi now.
So far in NYC, we have been to see the Letterman theater, went to the Hello Deli for a sandwich and a picture with Rupert Jee. When all over 30 Rock, picked up tickets for the NBC studio tour tomorrow, went to St. Paticks, MOMA, and now we are chilling at our hotel for a few minutes and then dinner and a show.

Ug, I'm SO jealous. I went to NYC for my 30th B-day two years ago and had a BLAST. It was fun, but I wouldn't want to live there. It's just wall to wall people and I can't deal with that day in and day out.
While I was there (for the week), I went to see Colbert (nach), the Today Show, Wicked on Broadway, Tiffany's (and bought a necklace), sailed to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, visited the Empire State Building, went to Ground Zero and China Town and sampled some fine dining as well. We also saw the Cavs (KING JAMES!) whoop up on the Nicks. THAT was fun because you can't even get tickets to see the Cavs in Cleveland. There was SO much to do that my BFF and I didn't even get to see Central Park or visit the MoMa. Wild. I would definitely go back for a visit.

eagle- you did some of the best things! I have some great black and white pics of the statue and Ellis island from a high school assignment. And one time when MrDill and I were there we got me a tiffany's bracelet.. you know the signature heart one. Love it. And every time we go we walk around central park and FAO Schwartz... I want to go to see either Regis and Kelly or The View sometime..

Man, count me in as being jealous too but sounds like you are having a blast and making the most of your time there. Believe it or not, I think I'd LOVE to do NY alone. I'd love just to do my own thing. So much to see and do and I'd love to do it at my own pace. Maybe we should set a meeting time/place in NY for all of us? LOL Sounds like we's all love it and I may WANT to do it alone but in a busy city like that I'd need mega help and Jen's not too far from it so she's know what's what.
Jen, I woke up sick today too and I've now slept for about 10 hrs already today. I feel ok now but this morning it was really bad.
Don't you just love gift certificates? Meals out are getting sooo expensive now. I got a gift card that covers about 10 restaurants for Xmas (same parent company) and I still haven't used it. I'm still trying to figure out which one I want to go to.
Hope you enjoy your show neira!
