oh p.s.s. cruise had no olympics on tv..how nuts is that? so only caught first few days..canadian channel has it here thouggh and it's free on demand now so I may watch a few things...Canada did pretty sucky imo but I like to watch other countries anyway what I did see was all team GB ...It would have been nicer if they expanded their coverage more to other teams (more balance) but I think even the reporters got caught up in team GB. I realized how unbalanced it truly was when I got home to the last of the canadian coverage..Loved it as it covered many things (including interview with Will and Harry where HARRY was actually the better speaker of the 2...)

oh and YES I did meet Peanut for a couple of hours in a pub! She was awesome and was kind enough to give both Mom and I gifts (picture frames/chocolate AND a journal) Totally spoiled both of us and we got nice pics! I know she was disappointed I didn't turn out to be a drinker though! :-)

hey guys, I did start posting a few pics for trip and start on the journal..If I were you I'd stick to the blogger link for reading...live journal seems to have switched their pic program and they are huge and not adjusting within the journal. No clue why they mess with stuff.
Slow start..I'm still beat..think I ended up with bit of a bug and I'm not sleeping much...hope I recover over the weekend. Happy birthday to Neira! I see her over on facebook having lots of fun in/around Tulsa and she goes home lots too...Living the good life!

happy weekend all--I'm hitting the wavepool tomorrow for another freebie that expires soon--though I think it will involve a lot of reading/laying around more than swimming--mom got the new countertops appliances but the new fridge has a dent/is going back and one of the countertops is cut wrong so back it goes too--so it will be another week til the mess disappears--fridge actually sticks out too as a top cupboard needs to be moved too. all more trouble than it's worth if you ask me but to each their own!
fish hope it's not 103 anymore!

wave pool wears me out--fun but hard work climbing all over a tube and hanging on for dear life..lol good times!
hot/humid here again with periods of rain but a far cry from the hurricane stuff that is lurking again. Friend in Louisianna says they are due to have it hit on the 29th--anniversary of Katrina---taking in stride and seems prepared. Hope all can find safety

wow--we had our first spam thread here --I was so shocked to see it, I didn't know what to do with it for a moment --so thankful for the remove button! Feeling human again and mom has sent more pics so I'm hoping to get some journaling done over the next few days.
Can you believe summer is coming to a close? It's going to be 40 plus with humidity tomorrow but I know in a few weeks we will start to get that Fall bite here. I like it to a point but snow comes soon after and for that, I want to be a snowbird and take off..lol
Anyway, I shall enjoy what we have left. One more freebie dinner for us at a pretty nice restaurant this weekend, then we are out of good stuff! Radio is slow in the summer, hope it picks up a bit soon!:-)
Missed out on Madonna tickets last week (1 in 10 shot as it was a draw) but we never do well in draws, so it wasn't much of a surprise..lol Too bad, I would have gone, like her, but wouldn't pay to see her not because she isn't talented, but because of some of the games that seem to come with her. (ie late on stage/high demands ect) ok for a free night but I'm not going to finance her outrageous side..lol
Wow, that makes me sound old! :-)

I'm so looking forward to just sitting down and taking a breath this weekend. As soon as I got back from mom's I got word that building is testing fire alarms tomorrow so now I'm scrambling to make this place decent--always something. Want to get back to my pretty pics! Better yet, let me go back, period! ;-0

Yes, Happy Weekend! It's still hot and dry here, and we're having problems with mosquitoes and West Nile Virus, so I'm staying out of the yard. I really need to do some pruning and weeding, but I'm a mosquito magnet, so no way. Work is still good. I really need to spend time on the store.  |

Ohhh I hate mosquitos! and Yeah, don't risk the bites Man, we had huge rain last night ..you can have ours! Post in your thread when you have a new design/new things in the store, I'll have a look see! Snagged some Rush tickets yesterday..wish it had been Madonna..I've always wanted to see her, as nutty as she is and she is in T.O this month Started reading that 50 shades of grey series..OMG total porn! I'm shocked there haven't been protests all over the place about it..lol Of course I'm still reading it but my Mom had asked about it too and I'm like "Ummm..don't think you'd like it Mom!" |

so happy for the weekend and sleeping in tomorrow...so disappointed came thisclose to winning lots of money on the radio (don't even want to repeat the number) but the girl left me hanging on the line, then found another contestant...had to answer 4 questions and I knew them all...
The girl that won didn't even get excited, so the radio station had nothing to play on a big promotional loop and I'm talking about 1000's of dollars. No doubt the PTB are saying "Could she BE anymore boring?:-)"
little comfort though...oh well!
Anything new Fish? 100's gone? Hope all is well, looks like that hockey strike is a done deal...with little sympathy from the masses...
