hey all! yay weekend is here!!! time to catch up on pics/journals/ and sleep...this contest on the radio is killing me but I nabbed 1250 bucks this week as I finally got through, so it paid off...
Had birthday number 40 on tuesday ..not as bad as it sounds..lol doesn't bother me as most days I look younger but feel older anyway ..lol It's all good !!
no big party or anything will likely do a toronto day/evening soon (before the snow flies:-)))
trolling t.o is always a treat...
anyway enjoy your time off ***waves to fish***

so happy for the weekend! radio contest for 15000 this week and OMG it brought out the stupid people who thought they could swoop in and grab it with sheer stupidity. You had to answer 4 questions about the station stories of the day and they even give you one answer on the website.
The girl hosting the show at the end of the day has been stingy with money all week (I had won 1250 earlier in the week for answering all 4--it varied each day) so today they had a ridiculous amount to finish the contest with (15000) so unfair to those of us who actually did the "work" of listening to shows for WAY too long. Anyway, this old lady gets through today for the 15000 (think 85) and she bombs on the first question and didn't even bother to look up the freebie on the website..Seriously, how crazy are you?
It's happened constantly over the 3 week contest period. People clearly think the boogie man will give them answers. Only a handful of people actually won and now they have 15000 still sitting there (we think they will try again on monday) but it's just so nuts. This girl was handing out small amounts knowing how much she had wanting this big finale, only to have a total bomb. Funny on one hand, but on the other you have to say "Are you kidding me??"

Is it almost Monday already??? urgh. Next week is our Thanksgiving--Mom heading up to her sister's up north-think I'll do a West Wing marathon...
Amazing Race started tonight--repelling off bridges/eating frog ovaries with chopsticks/a 17 hr flight--yeah I wouldn't have made it out of the car..:-)

Happy weekend all!
I saw Warhorse tonight...Booooo...good music bad play. War, mistreatment of people and mistreatment of horses..didn't enjoy story at all.
Nice day in Toronto though....great deli food and t. o was hopping since it was a warm fall night...it poured rain at the end but was worth it for such a nice day. Love my T.O !
It's our Thanksgiving weekend --Mom is up at my aunt's --back on Monday --so hoping to do more pics of trip through the week as I didn't get any from her today thanks to our busy day.
She has next week off though so more time to send more pics---I should be copying all pics to disk but I think they can get repetitive and after my first monster entry I didn't want to bore you all into a coma --

Loving your trip photos, but bless your heart, all those stairs! So glad you didn't come home all black and blue.
I have a three-day weekend -- Monday is Columbus Day. Think I will spend it working on my online store (I know, I always say that). Today I will cut up branches that blew down out of a tree in the back yard, then do a little house cleaning.
Work is good, and the weather is nice for a change.

Happy Monday All!
Had a great Sunday as the last of the good weather made it a balmy 19 and we got one last trip to the park to see the swans in. People walking/biking all along the paths. Trees are losing colour though and will soon be bare..booo...enjoyed today though --will need to remember it as cold descends...have a good week!

have a great weekend all..rainy here---reading weekend with laundry/cleaning in between--boo! Vampire Diaries is my new obsession..totally addicted. Touch back next Friday--kiss of death night for tv but at least it's back!
Not really liking good wife so far but it's early, so we'll see...Grey's pretty good...
guess that's my mini tv review or the week! :-)
enjoy the middle once in a while too but still think of her as Ray's wife even though I never really liked the show...

yay it's the weekend!!! Going to see Argo tomorrow night--won some passes should be good and if it's not, popcorn will be!! rainy/chilly here, big yuck...good for laundry and reading

Happy Monday all, be careful with the storm ...stay safe--looks like my area (one hr from Toronto) will take a good hit too thanks to all of the water around us..weird stuff going on..not crazy about being alone but what can you do? Hope this isn't start of a hard winter here...My clock changed automatically on my vcr so now I'm all messed up with that too..lol
