Happy Canada Day! We had bbq for lunch -- I'd be happy to send some your way, but I don't think it would ship well.

hey fish!
not so much right now----london day trips ok but now in Deal waiting to go on cruise and it's pretty shabby--bad choice.
In London saw B Palace coplete with sharp shooters on roof---got there just in time to see it as the slowly shutdown crowd outside so they could block it off for olympic start.

Not too crazy as things seemed pretty organized---Brits took it in stride. Bikes buses cars together on road is the norm---most cyclists as ast as cars and have their own lanes--hit oxord st yesterday--omg big time stores. Anyway wanted to check in --see you soon

Hey all! Back at Mom's --home later today--overall a pretty great trip--even little Deal got better as in daylight it became a pretty bustling place. Taxi tour of Waterford was beautiful--so much better than going to the crystal place--found myself at the top of a mountain with bleating sheep --so beautiful--not sure pics will do it justice. Sooo sorry about my lack of a blog--my netbook keys were sticking/cursor was jumping so I pretty much bailed on it while away. Will work on it from home. Pics on mom's camera so will need to be transfered to disks--likely WAY too many so I will try to be selective for blog.
Hope you've all been enjoying your summer activities

Welcome back, Cindy! I can't wait to see pics!
I haven't been too good about posting while you were gone -- I got sucked into watching the Olympics every night. I'm always glad when they start, but then just as glad to see them end. I need sleep!
Work is going well, and I think I might get my contract extended a bit. Maybe a few weeks. I should know more this week.
I finally got health insurance -- woo hoo! The process took longer than I expected, but at least now I can continue to freelance and work contract jobs and not worry. One of these days, I'd like a full-time "permanent" job (as much as any job is permanent, in this economy), but in the meantime, I'm covered for medical and prescriptions.
Wish it would rain here -- the creek near my house is bone-dry. And we're at 100° and expected to get to 103° today. *bleh*
Stay cool, everyone!

Hey Fish!
yes, pics are transferring to Mom's computer as we speak all 1004 of them. I've asked her to be selective and send me a few at a time--this old comp will choke on that many pics at once so I will quickly be uploading to photobucket.
Still getting over jet lag so I'm slow on the journal and I do want to have some pics as I write it anyway. First day and a half was hard but awesome after that...the beauty of the Scots mountains is breathtaking and we literally went up a one lane dirt road with sheep in front of us..how do you top that? I think this trip was more about understanding (or trying to understand) the TRUE UK instead of just being a passive tourist.
I truly miss it already and it's hard for me being home ...I think a part of me truly stayed there because it suits me. Slower pace/simplier lifestyle/different priorities..although they do seem to want less rain..lol (although weather held up well during the time we were there)
