Hello! I hope everyone is enjoying summer! We hit 100° the other day -- boo! We did get a nice little rain shower yesterday, though. I saw a great Impressionism exhibit the other day in Ft. Worth -- lots of Renoirs (my favorite). Members of the local costumers guild showed up in period dress -- a dozen or so of them. It was funny to see one of the girls pull her cell phone out of her straw handbag. Is anyone watching summer TV? Most of our shows aren't back until July, but we watch Rizzoli & Isles, which started last week. I really liked Necessary Roughness last year, but haven't watched last week's new ep yet. Not sure I'll start back with it. (I know, this belongs in the TV thread.) Work is going great -- it's been an adjustment, getting used to 40 hours a week again, but I'm so thankful for the job. I just need to stay home on the weekends and get stuff done. This Saturday is my cousin's daughter's wedding, so no housecleaning for Fish that day. Hockey's done, and my college baseball team washed out. Sis is watching the pros, but I don't start paying attention until after the All Star break. I'm getting excited about the Olympics. Cindy, how goes the trip planning?

Hey Fish! I've never heard of that program is it on a specialty channel? I can't find anything worth watching...I tune in and out of Hell's Kitchen but seriously, it's got to be fake because even I could cook a scollop without getting screamed at...and wasting all that food? Ridiculous. Two words Fish Downton Abbey..so good. Period series set just after the sinking of the titanic. I got it from the library--waiting for season 2--nice because it's done in parts --not a zillion episodes. Trip planning is kinda going..still waiting for loose ends but not bad--I'll wave to you if I catch a camera around! lol Don't get me started on them re-naming big ben--please. Just once I'd like to hear the Royals say "no thank you." Urgh Hoping I can find a nice olympic shirt..lol I already ordered lugguage tags with kitties holding the olympic rings so I can take the "kids" with me. Just my thing. I've always wanted to see works of art like that Fish, we plan to this time as all museums are free around London (and most of the UK I believe) No time last time, will try for it this time--just to say I've been near one..lol No clue how I will meet Peanut--there is talk of buses but no clue how it will work out as we are now looking at an excursion and though we have free time in Dublin, I have no clue how to time it with a bus and no phone...phone rental is nuts so that's out and how do I call her on a bus? Anyway, we'll see how it goes How cool that they were all in costume. Shame on the girl for bringing the cell phone in and ruining the illusion.. I figured you'd be hitting 100 by now..I imagine you just get used to it and are happy for the relief of rain... So glad your job is going well..10 to 1 they hire you beyond the summer and I'm sure it is tricky doing a full 40 hrs after having a long break but it sounds like you really enjoy it, so I bet it's worth it. Quiet weekend ahead I think. I need to start cleaning this place up in case they come in while I'm away... Hmmm wedding or cleaning? Tough choice there, have fun!

Surprise beach day today --Mom surprised me by picking me up and offering to drive to Port Dover (beach where we swim)
People were actually in the water and Mom tested it out and said it was like warm soup. Neither one of us had bathing suits so we sat and read under the tree--then had dinner at the restaurant on the beach looking out over the water--was a nice treat and a good kick off to the summer.
I can't believe people can swim in the water here mid-june. Usually, we have to wait until at least early July.
Cider doughtnuts too! To go with some Timmy's coffee for the drive! Great bonus day and so beautiful.
Tons of horses/cows on route--seems everyone wanted outdoors to enjoy the day!
Fish, wedding report?

Happy Father's Day to dads, and happy memories to all.
The wedding was very pretty -- they are cute kids. I got to see lots of relatives, and we made it home before dark (I don't like driving on the highway at night).
So, Cindy … is "Timmy's coffee" Tim Horton's? I see their commercials all the time while watching Sabres hockey games. When I went to NYC, I was so excited to see a Tim Horton's at Penn Station, I had to have a bagel. Hee! Of course, it tasted just like the bagels we get here, but I counted it as a "real" New York bagel. ;D

Yup--"Timmy's" is in fact, Tim Hortons coffee is WAY better than their donuts/bagels...Next time try the coffee!
Wedding sounds like it was a good time..."Kids?" How young were they? You're making me feel old...
Yeah, I meant to post about Father's Day but mine isn't in the picture so I always forget about it ..lol
I guess Happy Dad's day to Mom who was both for me! :-)

Sarah was awesome tonight and it was so clear/warm beautiful summer night for outdoor concert.
She's so humble/grateful for fan support--- this will be her first concert tour in the years since her split from hubby and you can tell she is nervous about it but her voice was in fine shape and she seems happy.
