Yes, Happy Monday!
I had the day off -- Memorial Day here in the States. Not a "happy" kind of holiday, despite all the parties and sales. I liked the old name: Decoration Day (for the tradition of laying wreaths on the tombs of soldiers). Gives it reverence.

Looks like I'm off to see Whoopie Goldberg tomorrow in Toronto--won tix last minute --not sure about going with Mom (lol) but all reviews say it's a good show (Except one dumb lady who said she has "a potty mouth--and kids were there!" Nevermind that it was a show in a Casino! :-) I so wanted to write back and say "Hello??? You were at a CASINO show--why were kids there??:-)"
Anyway, should be interesting.

sold whoopi tickets at the last minute today---no clue why people wait so long to show interest---anyway was big time rain today so not ideal for driving to toronto anyway--sure she was good though.
Going to see the play The Full Monty on Sunday--local theatre group here but they are pros so I'm sure it will be fun. Not as good as Whoopi but a heck of a lot closer should the skies choose to open again. Our grass will be VERY green. Fish, ya'll can have the leftovers if you like!

Anybody going to see "Snow White and the Huntsmen" this weekend? Going to hit it soon---totally looks so creepy...Grimm Fairytale indeed! I usually don't care for scary stuff but man, it just looks so good and it's not a slasher movie so it should be ok. :-)

Ooh … it does look creepy.  *giggle* The costumes look great, though, especially the ones for Charlize Theron's evil queen. I bet the designer wins an Oscar. Anybody watching the Stanley Cup playoffs? I haven't seen much this year, but I kinda wish I'd been watching LA -- looks like they are this season's Cinderella story. |

Yes it does doesn't it? Reminds me of when Gretzky played for them and there was so much buzz around the team. Still can't believe a team is still there, not exactly a hockey hotbed..lol Fish, if you were closer we could totally hit the movie...CT was on Top Chef in the rold of "Queen of the Table" and they served her stuff that looked scarier than the movie, right down to chicken feet right on the plate..totally gross!  |

crummy play--full monty or not, it was a total bore. Good thing I liked the double burger/fries after the show. And why do woman feel the need to cackle over meals? So loud, I just wanted to walk over and say "Yes, we all know you're here.."

Ack! My new printer weighs frigging 50 pds..nobody mentioned this in the reviews..urgh and hook up to wireless not so easy so now it's sitting here..urgh

Yay it's finally Friday! No word on the printer yet, still trying to figure out how hard it is to set up/is it worth it--crazy radio week and big time rain (as I heard Fish got in Texas so she doesn't need my water do far this summer!)
Passport photo today--OMG so bad I actually liked my other one, now I'm stuck with this thing for 5 yrs..blah! Good news is no chip in Canadian passports yet, so it's "cheap" compared to what they will be next year.
