More thoughts: Jen, when you figure out that jump-to-end-of-post thing, tell all of us here how to do it. Heh.
Cindy: You win tickets all of the time. What's up with that? You are one lucky person, or else you have a "friend" in the public-relations business!

Gah, it's me again. I see I have one karma. What's up with that? And I hope that's a GOOD karma. I don't need any of the bad kind.

Oh geez, I'm really not trying to make a zillion posts here, but doing a Quick Reply is faster for me than an edit. Anyway, the reason I came here today was to let everyone know that Amazon is selling PB S3 for $26.49, free shipping. It also is listing new and used ones starting at $20.50; shipping is typically $3 for those, and many times the cheapest IS a new set. (I keep looking over my shoulder for a mod to tell me I am "pimping". TWoP really knows how to lay on the guilt.)

Gingerbird. No idea what the karma/exalt/smite thing is...I noticed it but knew I wouldn't need the "smite" thing here (I read it as "ban") so I ignore it. Nope, no friends in PR I just have some radio stations I like and I've been lucky enough to "sneak" in and win some tickets a few times. It's very addictive though, so I need to be careful. My mom actually started me on it (she had won a few little things) and last yr my capper was the front row keith urban tickets. Once I got a taste of the "good life" seats it was hard to stop. No front rows since, but Mom won Il Divo tickets for May last week. Looking forward to that. (I better be nice to her or I won't be invited:-)) BTW, about the PB disks. Let's just say I borrow them from my library and that's all I need to do:-) saves alot of money LOL I believe that people can read the posts without joining but can't post. (or send mail\pm) I've seen as many as 10 guests on here so I know people are around. I hope we get Peanut, Emma, Jex, and any others that want to come over but I'm not surprised it's small for now because lots don't have time for 2 boards. (I should be cleaning as I type:-)) LOL. Maybe Jen can ask her neighbors to stand in! And another LOL for the bald guy/wig/dead animal story. The things we do to find love. If anyone starts to have problems with being harassed by someone just let me know. I doubt it will happen here with the smaller numbers, but my goal is a happy, free place for all. Speaking of the library, I need to go make a trip.

Grr, I went to get the mail at work, it is out back and my car is parked out back. I happened to look at my license plate and realized the year tag is missing, on the front and back. So someone totally stole both stickers. I am so mad. First, that means someone was touching my car and now my car, Javier, has been violated. Second, I have to spend my free time at the DMV to fix this. Third, I could have been pulled over for this.

neira: was just going to say, you're lucky you didn't get pulled over. Oh cool car name, classy! I'm guessing you got charged for replacing the tags? Big bummer. Don't know why people just can't leave stuff alone.

Nelra, can those stickers be removed that easily? You should be able to make a phone call to see if you have to go to the DMV in person. Plus, if you were pulled over, the cops would run your tags and see they were renewed, so you wouldn't get a ticket, just get to meet a friendly officer of the law. Let us know what happens. If stickers come off that easily, this must be a common thing and DMV is used to it. Unless that's one way your state makes extra $, replacing crap stickers!

It cost $3.50 to replace the tag and like 10 minutes of my time. Tag theft is actually pretty common. We had new license plates a few years ago and the tag was in the corner, so criminals would just clip it off. So they told everyone to put the tags in the center of the plate and to score the tag so it would come off in like 9 pieces. I put my tag in the center, but on top of a couple of other stickers, so that made it easier to steal. Whoops on my part, this time I am cutting the sticker and not putting it on top of anything else.
In happier news, I finished my Secret Santa shopping, now I just need to wrap everything and mail it off.

I'm a little late with this, but Cindy and Gingerbird:
I'm LaneKim on TWoP. Hep Alien is the name of Lane's band on Gilmore Girls, so I thought it would be relatively obvious on there (at least for GG watchers!) without getting me into trouble...again.
I honestly only ever post in the Yard there anymore, and not very frequently really. I'm just paranoid that I'm going to get banned again. Did I tell you guys what I did to get banned? I made the mistake of posting on the Jon & Kate Plus 8 board, which has now been closed. But it was very confrontational, and I never posted there, but I just agreed with another poster who said that we should try to be more understanding of how other families live their lives.
Yep, that was considered "board on board", so they banned me. No warning at all. And I didn't even have other warnings on my account, only a couple notes from the PB mod. I think maybe they saw those and thought they were warnings?
Whatever, I kind of hate the mods there now. I post on a Lost board that is moderated by fans, and they really don't interject much. Conversations tend to just get back on track on their own eventually. But I think the problem with TWoP is that it's gotten so big and so many people post that it is no longer a relatively small group of people with a common interest who can have civil conversations and debates.
**sigh** I really miss old-school TWoP when it wasn't all corporate and I felt like I knew about something that most other people didn't.
Okay...TWoP-y rant over. ;D
P.S. Apparently you can't say a** on this board? It took it out when I did...

neira: I mailed my secret santa today! LOL I think our poat office guys live in mansions. Over $10 bucks to mail a very light package. Crazy. But I'm excited to mail off to a "stranger" and get something in return. Kind of old school and fun. And I really wanted to try to get it there by xmas. Christmas in Feb. isn't the same... hep: I got the GG reference (miss it love watching my disks) but had the wrong user in my head...opps! We appear to have censor monkies controlling the spelling around here, it ain't me. LOL ITA about TWOP I haven't even been there that long and it's changed a lot IMO. I swear I waited for a warning for posting the link here. Banning someone over Jon and Kate plus 8..hmmm..ok LOL Happy PB night all.

The Jon and Kate thread was a major source of drama and bannings. People would defend them, others would curse them and it was a major hassle. I understand why they shut it down, but the mods were pretty bad also. Back in the day, I dont think people were banned as much or over so little. I posted one "bad" link and I was banned, not even warned.
The only other time I saw a thread get out of hand was the First Church of Wentworth, that was supposed to be a thread about WM, but turned into an out of control thread that often brought up x-rated fantasies about WM or if he was gay or not. I was glad when that thread was shut down, it created way too much drama.

We took new pics this weekend ... just Maddie in front of the tree.. turned out much better so that's what we're going with. I feel so bad cuz I don't have my secret santa gift yet... or know how long it's going to take to ship... and I want to know what I can ship internationally... are there any rules? So I have this huge TO DO list... and I'm frustrated cuz I"m sitting at work and none of it is getting done...

Jen-I have shipped internationally a few times. I would try to go with a flat rate box, basically stuff as much as you can into one box and it is the same rate, you should be able to get it for free at the post office, which is cheapre to ship at than UPS. I think as long as you are not mailing liquids or aerosols, you should be fine. I did have to fill out a customs form stating what is in the box and the value. Last year when Sabina was my SS to send to, I put in a chunk of rock from the old baseball staduim in STL that they had just torn down. The post office guy was like, did you just put rock on the form? Yes, I did. Cindy-here you go www.fcowm.com/

OMG how freaky lol. Yeah, not sure if Canada has the flat rate thing but I probably should have done that too instead of ripping mine apart and making it .1 lighter. LOL at the rock what a cool idea.
I have faith in you Jen, you'll get it done. I can't believe we are so close to xmas. I should be doing stuff too, but instead, I'm drowning in chores that need to get done around the house.

well the bookmark thing officially didn't work.. basically its just like favorites... it doesn't take you to the most recent posts. flat rate box.. I'll look into that, thanks nelra! It's one of 100 things to do tomorrow on my day off... including put up my parents Christmas tree.. finish shopping... finish laundry from the weekend etc. So I have a story to tell.. my in laws, (my father and step mother in law) that live in South Carolina sent out their Christmas cards. In it is a brag letter. Well there's an entire paragraph dedicated to her son and his new wife and her daughter... and their daughter to be born in february... including names etc. Now jump to our paragraph and it says their 'other precious bundle of joy' ... yada yada yada... NEVER MENTIONS MADELYNN'S NAME! Yet the unborn child's name is mentioned! Are you kidding me?! And to top it off.. MrDill's sister who lives in SD with her husband is apparently teaching at the Univeristy of Nebraska... ERRRR... more like Wayne State College.. which is in Nebraska. Now my question is... do I have the right to say "uh.. did you forget your granddaughters name? Or just leave it out on purpose?"
