hey guys, I'm back...good weather but some serious snags too...lost 100 glassses to the tide...booo but had 85 everyday --property was gorgeous on outside lots of problems inside..people were friendly though and I learned a thing or two...turns out it hit -41 here the day after we left -and came back to minus 12--I enjoyed the pool but was sad to lose my glasses after mom threw them on a chair and missed --dumping them in the sand instead and we couldn't get there quickly enough to save them --she felt bad but I was still angry and sad to leave them to mother nature--oh well, what can you do--Went to a coffee/fruit plantation in the mountains--that was neat and a cool adventure snaking up a one lane mountain on the bus...Anyway, I'm back post pics when I can....thanks to Fish for adding some treats while I was gone..:-)

I forgot, new episodes of anything never get aired thanks to "award" season...because you know, we don't hear how great everyone in hollywood is the rest of the year...:-) Still -20 here, I think the temp is hanging out til March  |

Ha, ha, Cindy -- it was 27° when I left for work this morning, and yesterday we had a "snow day" of sorts. Not snow as much as sleet and ice, and as you'd expect, the city pretty much shuts down. Second time in a week, actually -- we're actually having winter weather here and there. Of course, it's supposed to be near 80° Friday, then we get another Arctic blast.
Yes, I said "when I left for work" -- I'm almost finished with a two-week gig at the museum where I worked a couple of years ago. They needed help with an upcoming exhibit -- woo hoo!
I'd send you some hot chocolate, but I think we need it! Stay warm!

80?? pfffffhhhh....lucky you!! Yes, pass the hot chocolate...
So happy you got to work at a job you clearly love...exhibits would be so cool to set up...sounds like fun!

It's Febuary--January was a sucky month. bad weather, bad service,bad stress--Febuary is nice and shhort and that much closer to Spring!!:-)

ohhh so the new board finally kicked in--yuck I already see it's slower thanks to all the extra silliness--oh well, all in the name of progress---happy weekend all and yay!!! It's February--January was a sucky month. bad weather, bad service,bad stress--Febuary is nice and short and that much closer to Spring!!:-) to fix my spelling because I guess you can't edit now---man, "me" hates change eta: ohhh the edit button shows up when you log in now....okay.... |

hope you all had a good weekend and enjoyed some of the olympic coverage --set up a little poll about the events as I've never tried that here and thought it might be fun...can't edit the choices now though and should have added downhill skiers--I mean some of the events, who thinks of them?? yikes!

Well, these are some of the best looking athletes I've ever seen--but they are falling and getting hurt all over the place. Some of these sports just seem nutty and I actually heard something along the lines of "Well, at least it's only a broken jaw, and not a concussion..." ummm...okay!!I hope these athletes have good insurance!

hey all, hope you are enjoying the start of your weekend. I'll be sad to see the Olympics go, all of the crazy/nutty sports have been pretty entertaining. Still interesting weather here. Snow/freezing rain/rain/thunder/lightning all in about 2 hrs. Spring are you ever even hinting at showing up?? :-)
