thanksgiving weekend here and mom is up north at my aunt's (too long a drive for me) so I shall have to be thankful on my own with a steak! I don't eat turkey/trimmings anyway so it's all good. Just over a week away from my trip to myrtle beach for 12 days..looking forward to it! Leaves are a pretty colour here though and weather is decent/sunny which is saying something...if I had a car, I'd head off to wine country or a fair or something :-) But no car so I'm saddled with laundry/cleaning I'm afraid...

good lord add another show to the "like" category this year..."Reign" I won't spoil it for those thinking of watching via pvr but lol at the controversy one steamy scene is causing...all I can say is those viewers up in arms clearly aren't watching ANY hbo or netflix fare...:-)

lol Fish, all I've heard today on the local news is "it's Friday night lights today" disappointed a big radio money contest is starting next week and I'm awol but nothing I can do and am enjoying the non-radio stuff I'm doing--hit the warm pool tonight --very nice and the people have been great--nice condo --would be nice if it was a bit warmer but what can you do? Myrtle Beach town centre looks like something out of the 50's with arcades/rides/shows ect...

We had nice cool temps today, and a smidge of rain. Wish it would really be sweater weather. I bet Myrtle Beach is fun, if it's like an old-timey touristy town … I always liked those kinds of places.

been pretty cool (lowest temps since 2009) but slowly warming up sat on beach today very nice and came back to pool/hot tub Mom will want to amp up on the beach as soon as it hits 70's --it's easy to find things with it being so small --did broadway on the beach last night and went to Jimmy Buffet's margarettaville --very nice place cool atmosphere and food was good

enjoying it here, very friendly people and very helpful--fell in the ocean today and 2 people raced to help. Close to water's edge but wave was too powerful knocked me right in and mom couldn't get me up on her own--couple didn't hesitate ---I will miss the "have a nice day " and "what can we do to help???" Everywhere from Walmart to the complex we are at. Lots of sun today--I'm red, but healthy looking. Talk of maybe staying for winters when mom retires--would help me a lot to skip cold weather and first time Mom has acknowledged it is worth considering --Hope you are all well

Oh, dear! Glad there were some good Samaritans nearby and you're okay! Sounds like a lovely place to winter -- better than the stereotypical Florida locales.
Getting some rain today, which is still needed, even though it's been a wetter than usual month.

from what I hear, "home" is drowning in clouds/rain so I sent some your way!!!:-) went on a dolphin watch boat today and yes we saw a few but the star of the day was a humpback whale!! he was about 35 feet and so close we heard him blowing --totally unexpected and so surreal--no clue if we got pics/vid as while mom was trying to catch dolphins she left video on and drained the battery---sigh--so it looks like it may be a "memory " moment --disappointing but not sure pics would do it justice--only 20 feet deep and darn close to shore we saw him head out deeper as we were leaving--he wasn't trying to hide and came to the surface multiple times --at one point he was almost too darn close--right beside me--pretty amazing sight

hey all, happy weekend, sorry to be heading home on Monday --have loved everything here , people so kind and so much is accessible for me, I will miss this place --hope I get to come back--horses on the beach this morning as a big fair started and they needed a place to exercise the horses--it looked like either a) a romantic movie or b) a rodeo--take your pick!

loooonnng week...this close to big bucks yesterday $1100--needed to be caller 2 on radio was 1 (had to answer 4 questions about news on station and knew them all) bummer!! Rob Ford fiasco is a total embarrassment --man is ridiculous and his family is a bunch of nutbars...they are super rich yet his "core" supporters think he is "Joe Blow" because he has "real" problems ....(yeah like getting hammered 2 hrs after sitting in city hall) Hoping he'll sail off to rehab soon to get him the heck out of the city as it is a total distraction here super cold too and surprise..light snow I want Myrtle Beach....:-) Have a good one guys!

In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place: and in the sky The larks still bravely singing fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the dead: Short days ago, We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved: and now we lie In Flanders fields! Take up our quarrel with the foe To you, from failing hands, we throw The torch: be yours to hold it high If ye break faith with us who die, We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields Attachments:
