Grandma said she'd watch Maddie while we go to the gym... which I find silly cuz we will literally be there for 30 minutes cuz you gotta start out slow... Sorry Cindy... Leah has a new story... pretty good too... I've been behind on my reading.. I think I have 2 chapters to catch up on.

hehe That is funny about the gym jen . . . sounds like grandma just wants some time with her new grandbaby;) Sweet. I've heard of baby care at a lot of gyms. (YMCA in Charlotte when I went there). Not sure about price though.

I started working out again in November. I have a friend who belongs to the same gym, we try to workout a few times a weeek together. I have tried a bunch of the classes, which I had not done before. The classes can be really hard, but that means it is a good workout. My gym has been packed the last few weeks with everyone getting back to the gym now. Keep it up everyone! File this under-You know you are getting old when...Working at the mall on a Friday night(I picked up a shift at a different store) and all the teeny boppers are out in full force and I felt like asking the mall cops to tell some kids to behave. I used to think the mall cops were just harsh and now I understand.

I juat saw Jersey Boys--man, what a great show. The best part? $35 for 3rd row seats because they were supposedly obstructed view. I guarantee, I saw more then the people in the more expensive seats in the middle at the back:-) Totally worth seeing. Guy who played Frankie stole the show. LOL neira. Yes, I'm afraid that's def. a "you know you're old when" thing. It's right up there with "does that kid really need to scream like that?" lol Good luck at the gym all. The new one by me isn't open yet. Does that give me a pass for M and M consumption? I've personally invited both Peanut and Cat over here. I hope they show up sometime.

More might come over here once the PB thread is shut down. The mod said it will be shut down within weeks of the show ending.

Hey guys. My weekend was pretty good.. We totally forgot to take Madelynn's 9 month pictures though. Oups. Just one more thing to do next weekend I guess. The babysitting is included in the gym membership.. so that's not a problem... it's my own retardedness that won't let her play with other kids. Germs and I just don't get along.

So, it's still cold here (surprise!) Urgh. I supposs I should be grateful that the sun has poked out and we have been minus new snow for about 4 days. (but not to worry, more is due on Wednesday) I say again...is it Spring yet?
I don't blame you for not wanting Maddie to touch a bunch of dirty toys Jen. My Mom works at an agency where they have toys in waiting rooms and she is the only one that ever cleans them (she just LOVES cleanliness--I didn't get that gene) She says she gets tired of looking at the digusting filth and can't imagine the germs either.
I would guess that playing with other kids would be a good thing though, especially if it's only half an hr. Just put her next to the really clean looking kids:-)

Well Jay goes to our friends on a Friday nite and she plays w/ other kids.. but that's it. ... I'm not worried so much about filth.. cuz I hear a lil dirt is good for kids... it's more the germs that make me queezy. I have my co-worker on reconsence (sp?) tomorrow to see what the daycare is like... I want to go to the gym more than on the weekend... so I guess I'm going to have to get over it... Plus I'm slightly scared that she will either a) be a bully.. or b) be a push-over... and I'm not sure which is worse! -Tuesday- So here comes the snow again... I'm starting to think we should move to California!

Sabina: Any luck with secret santa yet?
And how did your black and white photos turn out? Can you post a few in the pic thread?
Jen: No kidding about California, enough with the snow already, it just never seems to stop.

Hey guys.
Nope, no Secret Santa yet! But it is my birthday on Monday - so maybe it'll be a surprize birthday gift. =) My friends and I are going out dancing on Saturday night - I'm so excited! It's this bar that does Vogue Saturdays - retro hits from the 80s and 90s. I love dancing to campy music. Then Monday night my friends are taking me out for dinner.
I actually posted the link to my Facebook pictures on here a week or so ago (in this thread). But I will post it in the picture thread - makes more sense!

You can look at the pictures even if you don't have facebook. The link I put in the pictures thread enables you to do that.

Well, a quiet weekend over here. I have been having a West Wing marathon. I still miss that show. In it's heyday there were none better. Junk food and good tv, not a bad way to spend a day. I must say, it's good to see the sun here and it makes me wish I could ski or toboggan, or you know, just barrel down a big hill for fun in the snow.
Eagle, are you still freezing? Not to worry, Monday is coming and my Mahone pic will warm you up!
Where did gingerbird go? Apparently we need to send out a bird call.
Get your Happy Birthday song singing voices tuned up guys, we owe Sabina a round of Happy Birthday tomorrow.
Jen, how did Maddie do at the gym with the kids/germs?
ETA: Just a quick board note: I have discovered that we can add live chat on to the board for free. So if any of you ever want the option to talk to each other just let me know and I will look into setting it up. ie. (Thursday night chats) or whatever.

I meant to ask you guys, did you all see the vegatable ad by PETA that NBC banned from the Superbowl? I saw it on CNN and I must say, I think PB has desensitized me to the umpth degree because I was laughing through the whole thing. Granted, I wouldn't want my kid to see it, but stroke of genius for getting people to talk about it and a boatload of FREE advertising since everyone else played it. Gives a whole new meaning to a stir fry..

I didn't see that Cindy... hm... have to look into that one. Happy Birthday Sabina! Today is our directors birthday too. Maddie didn't come to the gym with me... she stayed home with Daddy yesterday morning... and I have to admit... it felt really good to go to the gym... I might have to try to get over my problems and take her.
